Mihaela Damian

Mihaela Elena Damian – mother, Early Childhood Education specialist, teacher and Internationally

Certified Trainer in Nonviolent Communication – has been working with children since 2001 and since 2010 with parents and

teachers. She says that for her the most important thing is for every child to be able to find a place

where they have the space they need to be understood, seen, heard and loved, and for parents and teachers to find

real support. In this way, through sustained involvement, understanding feelings and needs, gentle

boundaries, role models and sustained practice, Mihaela believes in future generations that are

emotionally balanced.

After long experience among children, Mihaela strongly believes in Nonviolent

Communication as a means of interaction between adults, between adults and children, in everyday activities among

children, but above all as a way of life.

Guided by the phrase “Be the change you wish to see in the world”, Mihaela,

co-founder of the Giraffe Learning Center Association, has always wanted to create a place that

contributes to the most harmonious and balanced development possible of the little ones who cross the threshold of their

kindergarten.

Mihaela wishes to contribute to the lives of children, parents and teachers in Timișoara through

the Giraffe Dream programme (a programme for implementing NVC in kindergartens and primary schools), the Parenting

Course (for parents), Empathic Communication with Children (a course for parents and teachers) and

other courses and workshops through which Nonviolent Communication can be known and lived.
