About
Alexandru Moldovan is a psychologist, internationally certified trainer in Nonviolent Communication by the Center for Nonviolent Communication (CNVC) since 2020, and a trainer experienced in developing people and organisations since 2004.
He works both with individuals who want to transform their relationships and with teams and organisations that want to communicate with more trust.
In his work, Alexandru places at the centre emotional safety, authenticity, freedom, education and nonviolence. He creates learning contexts that are clear, experiential and oriented towards concrete change, in which people can honestly explore what is happening in their relationships and practise new responses.
NVC journey
In 2015, I was looking for practical tools to be a better parent and to strengthen a warm, harmonious relationship with my daughter. Although I had a solid background in psychology and many years of experience in the corporate world and working with teams, daily family challenges required more than I had thought. That's how I first read about Nonviolent Communication (NVC), initially seeing it strictly as a useful technique for parenting.
But this first reading brought about a paradigm shift in how I saw everyday tensions. I quickly realised that behind the difficult behaviour of children or adults there are always universal human needs asking to be heard. My relationship with my family gained a new clarity, and tense conversations turned into real bridges of closeness.
As I applied these principles at home, the impact of the method went beyond parenting. I had always described myself as someone who tries to explain emotions logically, but NVC gave me the permission and the rigorous framework to live them, accept them and listen to them without judgement. It was no longer just about finding external solutions or managing surface conflicts, but about discovering an authentic state of peace with myself.
This transition changed the way I approached dialogue. I understood that vulnerability is not weakness, and empathic listening does not mean giving up your own boundaries. The method brought me coherence between thinking, feeling and acting, becoming the framework on which I built all my everyday interactions.
Why I kept going?
Fascinated by the effectiveness I saw in my own life, I felt a natural need to share this philosophy with those around me. Starting in 2016, I launched my first study groups and practical workshops, discovering that the thirst for authentic connection is present everywhere, from families to management teams. In April 2020, this journey of deepening culminated in obtaining international trainer certification within the The Center for Nonviolent Communication.
I have stayed dedicated to this practice because I constantly see how it transforms the lives of people who move from automatic reaction to conscious presence. Whatever the setting and delivery methods, I want to keep creating spaces of psychological safety where people can show their true potential.
Today, my core motivation is to actively help this language of compassion reach Romanians, in the hope that they realise their simple words can build relationships rather than destroy them.
How Alexandru works?
- Practical and applied: starts from real situations in participants' lives, not just from concepts or generic examples
- Experiential: learning includes exercises, reflection, feedback, dialogue and trying out new responses
- Clear and structured: turns complex emotional and relational topics into steps that are easy to understand and practise
- Focused on emotional safety: holds spaces where people can talk honestly about tensions, needs and conflicts
- Authentic and compassionate: encourages direct expression, without aggression, blame or withdrawal
- Focused on lasting change: aims to build a skill that can be used in important situations, not just during a course
- Adapted to the context: works differently with individuals, study groups and management teams, while keeping the same intention of connection and collaboration
“I believe relationships can change when we learn to truly hear each other — both ourselves and others. Nonviolent Communication gives us a practical way to stay human in the conversations that matter most.”
